In early August, Jim and Terry made a two-day hike up Shepherd Pass and an attempt on Mt Tyndall. The weather was great, but we were not equal this time to reach the top, turning back at 12400 ft when confronted with a yuge talus slope. Many of the photos, nonetheless, are quite interesting of the surrounding countryside we experienced during this very short backpacking excursion in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
