During my trip to the '4-corner states' with Terry Tracy in later July, we attempted ascents of New Mexico's Wheeler Peak (Elev: 13161 ft), and Colorado's Wilson Peak (Elev: 14017 ft). We reached the top of Wheeler, but had to turn-back ~ 700 vfeet shy of Wilson Peak's top when my shoe's rubber sole peeled back. The weather during the Wilson attempt threatened rain, but it held off the whole time. These images are from both attempts.
